L'Abbatoir: Where Brunch Dreams Come True

If you Google "best brunch in Vancouver", L'Abbatoir is bound to pop up in the search and last weekend, I finally found out why. Ask for a seat in the glass-encased atrium which is beautifully lit with natural lighting and covered with a beautiful mosaic of tiles (which make for great flatlays). Brunch is featured on weekends from 10 AM - 2 PM.

The Starving Artist

I'll start off with reviewing my experience at The Starving Artist, a little restaurant near Lansdowne station which proudly specializes in servings one of my favourite foods: waffles. The Starving Artist nests at the corner of a row of bland looking shops. It's easy to miss so it might help if you look for the busiest shop on the block (it gets pretty crazy around noon when people start piling in for a meal).

Yolk's Restaurant and Commissary

This place has been on my go-to list for a verrryyy long time and I was glad to be able to make it last week. Keep in mind that Yolk's is a breakfast/brunch only place so remember to make it before they close at 3pm on weekdays and 4pm on weekends!

Cafe Medina

Cafe Medina has gained quite a lot of popularity lately for being the cafe-to-be-at. I would've liked to make a trip much earlier but only got around to it recently due to Medina's early closing hours. My friend and I made it just on time for last call on a Sunday afternoon (around 3:15pm) and were led to an interestingly placed back room due to the full house in the front area.
