Ramen Gojiro is Vancouver's newest ramen addition which is managed under the same company's as Ramen Butcher in Chinatown (Menya Kouji Group)- which is quite obvious after noticing the design similarities between the two shops. However, unlike Ramen Butcher, Ramen Gojiro occupies a much smaller space and allows for a more cozy environment that most traditional ramen shops like to have.
Field & Social is Vancouver's newest salad shop which serves locally inspired salads made from local ingredients. Their shop on the corner of Dunsmuir and West Georgia is absolutely beautiful - bright, clean, and glazed with a modern industrial feel. It's all very reminiscent of the layout of Earnest Ice Cream thanks to the work of the same designer.
Alexandra Rd. is really the hub for all food in Richmond and it's to no surprise that there is another new addition to the crew. I would like to introduce you to Snowy Village Dessert Cafe, a Korean dessert shop specializing in bingsu/bingsoo, aka shaved ice, which come with preset toppings. This shop is seriously tucked away and hard to find if you're not a Richmond regular - but if you're a darts fan and know about West Coast Darts, Snowy Village is located just across the plaza.
New year, new ramen. Richmond's newest addition to the ramen scene is Sanpoutei Ramen which originated from Niigata since the 60's. I've briefly heard of Sanpoutei back in Singapore but didn't really pay much attention until I saw a post about a new ramen place opening near my house.
