Mimibuloveme is basically my type of dream: a cute hang out destination with great food (mainly dessert) and an awareness for style/presentation. It's conveniently located near the Oakridge skytrain station open until 12am everyday except for Tuesday (which they are closed on). I actually went at 11pm on a weekday and was surprised that there was still a lot of people in the store, we had to wait around 10 minutes for a seat so plan accordingly if you want to go! There aren't many seats in general so I wouldn't recommend bringing large groups unless you don't mind sitting outside. Anyways, it was late and my friend and I weren't too keen on eating something too hearty so we opted to just order two parfaits instead of the popular pasta choices. We got the Strawberry Cheesecake Parfait along with the Tiramisu Parfait. My Tiramisu was a mix of Tiramisu gelato, Tiramisu cake with chocolate wafers. It wasn't as sweet as I expected (but still sweet nonetheless) and my Tiramisu cravings were definitely settled. Smooth gelato and generous pieces of light and fluffy cake plus the crunchy wafers all proved to be a good combo. My friend's Strawberry Cheesecake was a mix of strawberry cheesecake gelato and cake as well. Definitely the perfect blend of sweet and cheesy and definitely a heavy way to end of the night.
This is just a picture I took of their temporary menu if you're interested in the type of food they offer
Food quality: 9/10 (I think these might be my favourite parfaits!)
Service: N/A (It's pretty much order at the counter, sit down and wait for the food to come so not much service required. However, the staff is friendly, patient and extremely polite :) )
Atmosphere: 9/10 ( I love the decor! It's modern and fun but neat and clean at the same time.)
Price/affordability: 8/10 (At $7 a parfait, I guess I was okay with paying the price for what I got.)
Would I go back/recommend this place?: Yes! I'll definitely be back for the pasta and waffles since they look absolutely delicious. I really think everyone should have a go of the parfaits here, you might fall in love with them too!
